HELP SHAPE THE FUTURE OF OUR COAST
Have ideas for coastal restoration? Want to protect your land, your home or your community from flooding and land loss? This is your chance to make your voice heard and shape real solutions.
Starting in August, the state Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority will begin accepting project ideas for the 2029 Coastal Master Plan, and we want YOU to be part of the process.
CRCL is partnering with coastal leaders to host a series of meetings that bring landowners, land managers and concerned residents into the conversation early.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We’ll host two meetings in each of three southwest Louisiana locations.
Meeting One: Learn & Explore
We’ll present key information from CPRA and other agencies, including:
- What kinds of projects are eligible
- How projects are selected for the 2029 Master Plan
- Other funding opportunities
You’ll hear from experts. Then, we’ll break into small groups for guided conversations to explore
project ideas, get feedback and start thinking through your own proposals. We’ll also share
information about flood risk studies and potential home elevation opportunities.
Meeting Two: Build & Refine
Come back ready to dig in! We’ll help you refine and finalize your project ideas. Local leaders will join again to answer questions and offer hands-on support to get your proposals ready for submission.
