What we do

Advocating

Advocating for science-based policies at the local, state and federal levels, and connecting with communities to help them adapt to a changing world.

Building

In partnership with restaurants and our legion of volunteers, we collect, cure and bag oyster shell before using it to build oyster reefs. Since starting the program in 2014, we have recycled more than 13 million pounds of shell.

Connecting

The State of the Coast Conference is the largest statewide conference of its kind, providing an interdisciplinary forum to exchange timely and relevant information on the dynamic conditions of coastal communities, environment and economy.

Educating

CRCL developed the Future Coastal Leaders initiative to prepare the next generation to confront our coastal challenges.

Restoring

CRCL’s Native Plants Program leads our efforts to restore Louisiana’s coastal habitats by engaging volunteers and stakeholders to be a part of the solution.
