we need your help

Volunteer with CRCL

People like you play an important role in our mission to rebuild coastal Louisiana. You can plant trees or marsh grasses, combined with an airboat trip through the swamp. Join us on an oyster boat as we deploy a reef. Or help us prepare oyster shell by shoveling it into marine-grade bags so it can be dropped into the water.

Join more than 15,700 CRCL volunteers!

Come to a crclecture

The bimonthly lecture series was conceived of as a new way to connect with supporters of coastal restoration, one that is both fun and interesting. Speakers will address a variety of topics that may or may not be directly related to coastal restoration.

Donate to CRCL

Our work benefits all of Louisiana, but it is fueled by individual donations. For 35 years, CRCL has worked to unite people in action to achieve a thriving, sustainable Louisiana coast for all. By making a tax-deductible donation to CRCL, you help to continue this work. Thank you for your support!

join us for a special Crcl event

CRCL hosts an annual Shell-A-Bration event to “shell-a-brate” everything about oysters with a party. From their delicious cultural significance to their immense value in protecting our coast, there is so much to celebrate about this mighty bivalve.

Don’t miss CRCL’s Coastal Stewardship Awards, where we honor Louisiana’s heroes with a banquet celebration each year.

Sponsorship opportunities are available.

become a coastal partner

Our volunteer events are great team-building exercises for companies, or your business or organization can support our coast by sponsoring an event. Show your customers that Louisiana’s future matters to you by becoming a coastal partner.

BEcome A Restaurant Partner

Restaurants have kept more than 10 million pounds of oyster shell out of landfills by joining our Oyster Shell Recycling Program. That way, the shell is used instead to slow erosion and create habitat for new oysters. Shuckers love the program, and so do customers. Joining CRCL’s OSRP comes with promotional materials and marketing support.

We are accepting cypress seeds at our restoration HQ and by mail. In 2022, CRCL began growing bald cypress and mangroves from seed at our Restoration Headquarters in St. Bernard Parish. We are now growing hundreds of trees on site to be re-planted along Louisiana’s coastline.
